Information I collect
- Contact and project details you submit through an enquiry or booking request, including your name, email, phone number, preferred date, location, budget and notes.
- Account and gallery activity needed to provide secure client access, record photo choices, prepare permitted downloads and manage delivery.
- Information in contracts, questionnaires and model releases. A release may include contact details, date of birth, signature, shoot details and identification where supplied.
- With your permission, limited visitor statistics: a random session identifier, page viewed, referring website and broad device category. I do not use advertising trackers.
- Messages, correspondence and records needed to manage the working relationship.
Why I use it
I use information to answer enquiries, take steps towards a booking, provide photography services, deliver and protect galleries, record image choices, administer releases, meet legal and accounting duties, protect the website, and resolve questions or disputes.
The usual lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and legitimate interests in operating and protecting the studio. Optional visitor analytics is used only with consent. Where a model release relies on consent, the release explains the agreed image uses and how to contact me about that permission.
Who receives information
I use service providers needed to host the website and its database, store and deliver files, send gallery emails, and operate connected SmugMug galleries. They receive only the information needed for their service. Professional advisers, insurers, payment providers or authorities may receive information where necessary or legally required.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, I rely on the safeguards made available by the relevant provider and applicable data-protection law.
How long information is kept
Information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, to provide gallery access, maintain agreed image-use records, meet tax or legal obligations, or deal with a claim. Different records therefore have different lifetimes. You can ask about the period that applies to your record.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to how your information is used. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis; this does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Security, children and links
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to limit access to personal information. No online service can promise absolute security. If a person under 18 is photographed, permission and contracting arrangements must be agreed with an appropriate parent or guardian.
